If You’re Looking For Your Christmas Spirit…
Well, the Advent calendar has been counted all the way down and Santa has surely got his boots on and started loading up the sleigh by now. You’ve baked that special recipe that everyone expects each year, you’ve mailed out the cards, and finally that last gift has been wrapped.
But some of you are still waiting for your Christmas spirit to show up. Your house is glowing with a thousand tiny lights, but you feel like you’re in the dark.
You’re digging deep to try to find what makes spirits bright, but no amount of Burl Ives or Bing Crosby or even Michael Bublé can seem to bring it out.
I’m seeing this. I’ve seen you at the mall. I’ve sat by you at church. I’ve read your Facebook status. And I’ve even felt a bit of it myself in the past. We can sing “It’s the most wonderful time of the year!”… but that doesn’t make it so.
Here’s what I know: Christmas spirit comes and goes, but it’s only the Christ of Christmas that never changes. He never leaves, never waivers, never fails.
He comforts like no amount of Christmas cheer. And His joy lasts long after the Christmas decorations have been put away.
You already know that Jesus is the true meaning of Christmas, but do you know that He’s also what brings true meaning to life? You can experience what it feels like to rest assured that everything is under His control. You can know how it feels to never truly be alone again. You can have peace when yourcircumstances make it seem impossible.
No matter where you’re coming from or what your background, you landed here for a reason today. Stop searching for the Christmas spirit and invite the Christ of Christmas into your life. If you talk to Him, ask Him to forgive your sin, and be your Saviour, He promises He will.
This is the only message I have for you this Christmas. Please contact me if you want to know more. And may this be the best Christmas season your heart has ever known.
Merry Christmas from my family to yours! May Christ be your center in this season, and throughout your life!

SO thankful for His love, peace and joy! Here's a link to a favorite video from my church – love they play in and out of the piano. Merry Christmas to your family!
