Easy DIY Mistletoe: Because Everybody Needs Some
No matter how well your halls are decked, the job’s not done until the mistletoe is hung! If yours isn’t up yet, I’m here to help. Here’s a quick and easy DIY version you can make for just a few dollars and it will last long enough to bring you plenty of kisses through the years.
Start with some green felt (you can get this for around 20¢ per sheet), some small white pom pons, and some green grapevine wire (normally near wreath supplies).
Cut approximately 24 mistletoe leaves in the shape of a skinny teardrop.
Using wire cutters, cut 4 pieces of the grapevine wire, each around 14 inches long. Then, using a hot glue gun, start gluing on the leaves to the stems.
Add a few pom poms with a little more hot glue.
Then, when the 4 stems are finished, loop them together at the top ends and wrap a little more wire around to hold the loop.
Add a bow and a tag if you think someone needs a little reminder…
Then hang it in the perfect place.
‘Tis the season! Hope this makes yours a little merrier!
