Our Great White Sofa: A Year Later
Well, it’s officially been a year since we first fell in love with the Riemann Curved Tufted Sofa from Home Decorator’s Collection and decided that our love for the white was worth any risk we might be taking.
And after many questions from readers and friends about how we feel about it and how it’s holding up, I’m happy to announce that I’m still very much in love with it. The cushions are still firm, it still feels sturdy, and as for dirt and spots? You won’t find any. It’s still as clean and bright as the first day it arrived. And yes, that has everything to do with the fact that we have a zero-tolerance policy on grape juice and other foods and drinks that could produce devastating circumstances which we don’t even speak of.
(shop this sofa here…)
But, since we’re all programmed to live with white in this house, it’s not a problem at all. I’ve had a blast switching out the pillows for the seasons and even adding a new coffee table and new rug since the time we got the sofa.
It’sdefinitely still the jewel of the room and gets a lot of attention, mainly from me.
So, let this be atestimony that, just like in life, when you have “that feeling” about something, sometimes you’ve just got to take the risk. Throw caution to the wind. Bite the bullet. Go for it. It may just turn out to be awesome.
I’m reminding myself of this because I justreturned from another weekend away in Atlanta with my husband and came back with another huge spontaneous purchase. Apparently that’s just how we do. Keeping my fingers crossed that we made the right decision. I’ll tell you all about soon!

It's fabulous!! I have horrible kids. They won't listen and sneak food all over the house. I have 4 kids to deal with. Glad it's working for you. It's my dream to have white furniture. Xo

Is it comfortable? Do the pieces stay together? Thanks!

Yes! Very comfortable! And the pieces snap together to hold them in place. Once a month or so we might have to adjust, but overall, they hold together well!
