Back-to-School Paper Crafts and a Chance to Win Big for Your School
This post brought to you by Astrobrights Papers by Neenah Paper. All opinions are 100% mine.
Since everything is abuzz this week with back-to-school mania, I thought you might be interested in a couple of last-minute paper craft projects you can do with your kids before they head off to school.
The makers of AstroBrights paper asked me to try out their papers to see what I thought of them, and it’s official: I think they’re great. Just like the name implies, they’re super-bright and they come in a variety of 23 colors, so your creativity won’t be limited. This paper is great for everything from craft projects to party invitations. And a flyer printed on AstroBrights would defintely get attention!
My daughter, Lily, needed a backpack tag for her new bag, so we used these papers and it turned out great!
All we did to make this was start with a luggage tag kit found at most craft stores. (If you have access to a laminator, that would work well also.)
Then, we cut some of the orange paper to size and used a punch to create a flower out of the pink and blue. A little dab of glue held the flower in place. And some letter stickers that spell out her name finished it off.
Following the instructions on the luggage tags, we sealed it together and added a ribbon for tying it on. The whole project only took about 5 minutes, and Lily loves it!
One more project you might like to try is this Post-it Note Holder I found on Pinterest, made by several different people.
It’s made from a basic 4×6 acrylic frame and some Post-it notes.
I used the bright blue AstroBrights, cut to size to fill the frame…
Then,we just peeled the back off the Post-it notes and stuck them on.
I little ribbon and a punch of yellow embellished with a sticker transformed a plain frame into a Post-it note holder, perfect for a teacher gift!
These are just a couple of ideas, but there’s really no limit to what you can do with these cute papers.
And something else I love about AstroBrights is their “Give a Brighter Year” sweepstakes going on now through September 10 which gives you a chance to win $30,000 worth of supplies for your favorite school! (Plus a $500 VISA gift card for you!) I know this is an opportunity you don’t want to pass up, so visit Astrobrights on Facebook to find out how to enter.
Also on the AstroBrights Facebook page are the “Make Something Astrobright” design challenges where you can enter your creative designs and have a chance to win up to $400 in VISA gift cards. So, be sure to visit Astrobrights on Facebook and let your creativity be bright!
