Christmas Cafe Shelves 2011
I barely used any actual Christmas decorations for my Christmas cafe shelves this year.Instead, I used things from around my house like my Goodwill globe & my painted Goodwill frames to pull together my “Joy to the World” theme. I did make the banner with a strip of canvas & some scrapbook paper letters…And I made a tiny wreath to hang in the frame…I also made a book page platter for the back drop for the nativity. (I didn’t want to ruin my platter, so I did a temporary makeover by first covering the platter with foil, then Mod Podging on the book pages. Worked like a charm!)A few glass ornaments hanging down spell out the message of the season: “let earth receive her King”.Hope you like my design for this Christmas! How are you proclaiming the true message of Christmas in your decor?I’m sharing this post with a few of these friends & the Merry Mantles party at Southern Hospitality. Check them out for more inspiration.

I am all about the greenery branches this year. Then when it is time to clean up, in the trash instead of finding a home for it in my cluttered attic. LOve your display.

This is sooo neat! You are full of great ideas! I also totally agree with Nancy about being able to clean up live greenery so easily. I'm thankful too that I can just go in the yard and get what I need!
