A Blissfully British Tea Party {& Giveaway}: Part One
I’ve just had the most splendid weekend, Darlings, and I can’t wait to tell you all about it.I should start by mentioning that a year ago this week, I was in England. (I can’t wait to go back!) You can click here later to read about that. Between my reminiscence about that trip and the recent British fascination that’s still swirling around, I had to have a tea party. So, I invited a few friends, did a little research, got a little creative, & pulled together a party that was tons of fun, even if we didn’t get to travel to London. (With this group of girls, we couldn’t help but have fun!)As you can see, we all wore our best rendition of a British hat or fascinator. I’ll tell you more about that later, so stay tuned.{Special thanks to my daughter, Abby, who was my event photographer for the day.}The truth is, we had too much fun to share in only one post, so I’ll be sharing different parts of the tea with you this week. I’m hoping you’ll be inspired to put on some tea for your friends! And to give you just a little more incentive, I’m giving away a Party Favor Kit for 15 so you can make English Tea Party Favors just like the ones I gave to my guests!Included in the kit will be 15 of these little “Keep Calm” note pads, 15 assorted English Teas, crown tags I have printed for you from this site, and enough bags & ribbon to put them all together. If you want a chance to win, just leave a comment on any of my Tea Party posts coming up this week. I’ll choose one random commenter on Thursday night & announce the winner on Friday. Open to U.S. residents only, please. *Linking to a few of these different parties…**The winner of the Freschetta Giveaway is… andy & abby! Congrats to you!!

Love your outfit, Julie! The pics are great; Abby did a wonderful job! I'm glad to see no one wore a hat like one of the Princesses did – was it Beatrice's hat that was a bit wacky?

Love it! It is so beautiful! Have you ever been to The English Rose tea room in Chattanooga? It is an authentic British tea room, and is one of my very favorite places. Thanks so much for sharing!
