This skirt is so cute & I love the fabric you used! This seems simple enough that I might be able to make one. Just might try this for my daughter! Thanks!!

Let me say that that tutorial is the first thing I have seen that has been motivation enough for me to get my sewing machine out of the closet (the one that is still brand new after 4 years) and try my hand at sewing. Granted, I haven't been actively looking for tutorials, but I'm so glad I stumbled on yours. Your carefree and relaxed attitude toward sewing is just what I needed to feel like I can do it.

    Thanks!

Julie– YOU and ME? Sisters of the heart! I sew as I go too! I love your little ruffled skirt and it appears someone else lovesit too! 2 years ago I made reversible shamrock skirts for all 3 girls – and Ria had a fit putting hers on when she discovered that there were lady-bugs printed on the shamrock leaves that would be close to her body when she wore it inside out….so funny! (she a bugaphobic-I just made that up but it sounds pretty cool, huh?) xxoo Diana

Super cute fabric! Where did you get it? I like the shabby edge on the ruffle. Your directions are great-anyone can do this!

I love the shabby ruffle, but does it fray like crazy? I'm halfway though making one, but I'm scare the ruffle will become a nuisance after a couple of wears.
